Haiphong inaugurates key projects

On June 6th morning, Haiphong inaugurated series of key projects on the 65th anniversary of Haiphong's Liberation Day. Member of Political Bureau, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and leaders of ministries and Central government attended the events. 


Mr. Le Van Thanh, member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee cum Chairman of Haiphong People's Council, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, deputy Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee and Chairman of Haiphong People's Committee, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nghia, Standing Deputy Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee, head of Haiphong National Assembly delegation, members of Haiphong Steering Committee, former leaders and leaders of Haiphong People's Council, Haiphong People's Committee, Haiphong Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of departments and localities attended the inauguration ceremonies.
 

In Cat Hai district, the inauguration ceremony of Cat Hai-Phu Long cable line was held under collaboration between Haiphong People's Committee and Sun Group. Developed by the Sun Cat Ba Company and Sun Group, with an investment of 2.2 trillion VND, the construction of the cable line began in 2017. It comprises of 60 cars and is capable of carrying 4,500 passengers per hour. The 3,955-metre Cat Hai-Phu Long cable car section linking Dong Bai and Phu Long communes in Cat Hai District belongs to the 19.5-km Cat Ba cable car system. The three-wire Cat Hai-Phu Long can help to cut travelling time from Got ferry terminal to just nine minutes from the current 20 minutes and also ease congestion at the terminal where tourists even have to wait for 2-3 hours or even longer to take a boat to the island. The cable line is the first among luxury tourism products in the area which will be rolled out in the coming time including golf course, Onsen hot spring resort, coastal cultural villages, public beaches and cruise ship port. The cable line also contributes to the realization of a master plan on sustainable tourism development of Cat Ba islands, helping Cat Ba become one of the Northern leading tourist destinations in Vietnam and the world.

On this occasion, Cat Hai-Phu Long cable line was received a Guinness World Record certificate for the highest track rope above mean sea level, which is nearly 215 meters high.

* In Do Son district, the City People’s Committee and Van Huong Investment and Tourism JSC., held the ground breaking ceremony for the 5-star hotel and inaugurated the Dragon Do Son artificial beach at Doi Rong Int’l Tourism Area. The project is invested by Van Huong Investment and Tourism JSC., on the land of 480ha, with the estimated investment capital of more than VND 25,000 billion within 5 years, from 2019 to 2023. The project comprises such items as golf course, convention center, luxury resort to serve tourism, 5-star hotel, shopping mall, artificial beach, fresh and salt water lakes, recreation areas…This is an important project with high concentration of financial source at the fastest tempo, contributing to the tourism development of Haiphong. The 5-star hotel and Dragon Do Son beach are 2 among the first items to be deployed of this project, in which the artificial beach has finished phase 1 and put into operation.

Right after the opening ceremony, Dragon Do Son beach has welcomed hundred turns of tourists. The 5-star hotel and other work items are promising to bring about the first luxury resort complex in Do Son, serving the increasing demand of the locals and tourists at home and abroad.

* Also on Saturday morning, the opening ceremony of Flamingo Cat Ba Beach Resort invested by Flamingo Group was held under the witness of the Member of Political Bureau, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and leaders of Central government andHaiphongcity. Beside Cat Hai-Phu Long cable line, Flamingo Cat Ba Beach Resort is expected to become an driving force to boost tourism potentials of Cat Ba island as well as Lan Ha bay, one of the world's most beautiful bay to become attractive tourist destinations.
